इन जंगल के ऊँचे-ऊँचे पेड़ो की पत्तियों की वजह से एक ऐसी छतरी बन जाती है जिससे वहा कि जमींन में अन्धेरा रहता है.
अमेज़न को धरती के लंग्स यानि फेफड़े भी कहते है क्योकि यह जंगल अकेले धरती के लिए जरूरी कुल ऑक्सीजन का 20% हिस्सा निर्माण करता हैं.
